Well, Tucker is home and acting more and more like himself everyday! He still has a long recovery ahead; he will have a cast and splint for at least a month. We have to take him in every few days to get the dressings changed, although the times between visits keeps increasing as he gets better and things begin to heal. Once the cast comes off he still has to be kept somewhat quiet because we don't want to run the risk of reinjury. Jason has been sleeping on the air mattress in the living room since Tucker came home last week since he cannot do stairs. We may try and get him to stay downstairs by himself, but since he is so used to sleeping with us we are not sure how successful that will be. In all honesty, if we can get him used to it I think it could be a good thing once the baby comes, but we shall see...
Aside from being consumed with Tucker and his progress, not much else has been happening. We finally had a quiet weekend of nothingness at home this past weekend, which I was in real need of. This coming weekend we will be steam cleaning some carpets in the house, including in the nursery so that we can start doing some real baby prep. It is hard to believe this is my 18th week already and pretty soon we will be at the 1/2 way mark!! I have my anatomical scan on Thursday which I am really looking forward to (other than the whole needing to "fill my bladder" and hour beforehand and deal with the discomfort of that during the entire scan). I am sure it will be a nice relief to hear that all organs are looking good!!
